The Abruptors are a ska band from Buffalo, New York, known for their fusion of ska, soul, rocksteady, and reggae. Their debut release, the “Buffalo Ska” EP, came out in 2016 on Asian Man Records, featuring tracks like “Don’t Worry,” “Save A Bread,” and “Some Day.” This was followed by their first full-length album, “Love & Other Disasters,” released on October 4, 2019, also under Asian Man Records. In February 2023, The Abruptors released their second album, “Noticeably Cheerless,” which delves into themes of anxiety, depression, and personal growth. Their most recent work, “Everything You Know Is Wrong,” was released in December 2024, showcasing their continued evolution in the ska genre.
